Laura is a retired educator, wife, mom, “Lola” and now author! Laura obtained her Masters of Education from the University of Cincinnati. Teaching for almost two decades set the stage for her career as a children’s book author.
A recent move to the beautiful hills of Pennsboro, West Virginia from Cincinnati, Ohio (where she was born and raised) allows her more time in nature with her retired sled dogs Mistral and Sila. She also finds inspiration in yoga, hiking, tennis and travel.
Her passion is to share literacy and a love of reading with others. Laura’s books — Pickles The Mermaid, Pickles the Mermaid: Rainy’s Journey, and her newest release, Tommy’s Red-Tailed Hawk — each carry a heartfelt message for young readers, from self-belief and kindness to courage and the healing power of nature.
